A Living History
Bel-Lago is a sanctuary like no other. Teeming with wildlife and forested canopies, its magical misty mornings and theatrical sunsets look the same as it did to its Native Americans who first inhabited it. The Preserve was the site of the largest battle of the Second Seminole War of 1836 and later grew into a thriving pioneer settlement. Past storylines are not forgotten with ruins and artifacts visible along surrounding trail systems and educational markers and plaques being placed thoughtfully throughout the property.
The First Chapter
More than twenty years ago, Peter Rosbeck’s land plan started by dedicating 360 acres to open equine space and saving every historic oak on property. A conservationist at heart, he took his time carving out the community and utilized green practices along the way. His vision for embracing nature and multi-generational living reminded him of the equestrian traditions of old Tuscany, leading to the property’s Italian namesake and the first neighborhood’s architectural styles.
The Next Chapter.
Today, that vision is being carried forward by David and John Camp, brothers and owners of Camp Construction & Development. Having deep roots in the region and a lifelong appreciation for Florida's natural landscapes, they are committed to preserving the character of Bel-Lago while thoughtfully guiding its next chapter.
Bel-Lago's next chapter isn't about changing what makes this place special. It's about protecting it.
